Bristol Scenes by Gill Dix
My name is Gill Dix, I am now retired and have always enjoyed art , I have had lessons in watercolours with some wonderful teachers.
My late aunt Gladys Crook and my late father Frederick Knight have both inspired me to paint in watercolour, pen and wash and oils. They both were very talented . My brother Steve Knight is an excellent wood sculptor , and my mum painted very delicate flowers.
My sister Hilary Davies is a wonderful abstract artist, producing colourful scenes of places she has visited.
I paint my Bristol scenes from my photos. I have recently entered the Bristol Harbourside Prize Competition, which was great fun with my picture of "Moored at the Arnolfini ".I am very happy to take commissions of any picture, please see my contact page.
