Bristol Scenes by Gill Dix

My name is Gill Dix, I have been painting for many years. I love art and had lessons with many wonderful teachers.

My late Aunt Gladys Crook and my late Father Frederick Knight have both inspired me to paint in watercolour, pen and wash and oils. They both were very talented . My Brother Steve Knight is an excellent wood  Sculptor , he specialises in the female form.

My Sister Hilary Davies is an abstract Artist .

I enjoy painting Bristol buildings  and  I love making cards which are very popular. I also paint animals , peoples homes and flowers and take Commissions.

All my cards are £2 each including postage.

 Tall cards  -Size 8.5" x 4"

I also make single cards  size 7"x5

Notelet packs of 5 blank cards are £5.

I am at Westbury on Trym Country Market in the Methodist Church Hall every friday from 10.30am until 11.30am. where we sell crafts, cakes, plants etc.

I  run the   Henbury Art Club  every thursday morning in the Library and we have an annual Art Show in the Henbury Village Hall on May Day from 10am-4pm. This year we are raising money for BRACE.on the 7th May Bank holiday.

Last year's Exhibition was very successful and we raised funds for the St. Peter's Hospice, lots of people attended and it was a lovely day.  I have sold my cards to raise money for charities before.
