Bristol Scenes by Gill Dix

My name is Gill Dix, I am now retired and have always enjoyed Art ,I have had lessons in watercolours with some wonderful teachers.

My late aunt Gladys Crook and my late father Frederick Knight have both inspired me to paint in watercolour, pen and wash and oils. They both were very talented . My brother Steve Knight is an excellent wood sculptor , my mum painted very delicate flowers.

My sister Hilary Davies is a wonderful  abstract artist, producing colourful scenes of places she has visited.

I enjoy photography as well and I paint my Bristol scenes from my photos.  I have recently entered the Bristol Prize Competition, which was great fun with my picture of Temple Meads Station. I am very happy to take commissions of any picture, please see my contact page.

All my cards are £2 each including postage.

 Tall cards  -Size 8.5" x 4"

I also make single cards  size 7"x5

I am at Westbury on Trym Country Market in the Methodist Church Hall some fridays  from 10.30am until 11.30am. where we sell crafts, cakes, plants etc.

I organise the   Henbury Art Club  every Thursday morning in the Library and we have an annual Art Show in the Henbury Village Hall on May Day which  was May 5th this year.

We raised money for the Great Western Air Ambulance this time and had a lovely day. All other monies were for the Village Hall upkeep.
